It's Friday, which means it's time for The Small Batch, my weekly note on skincare, small simple swaps, and the stuff I'm actually loving. Grab your coffee, this one's short and sweet.
This week's simplifier
Here's one I wish someone had told me sooner: your skincare routine does not need to take longer than your coffee takes to cool.
One serum. Damp skin. Pat it in, and you're done. Face, neck, even the backs of your hands while you're at it. No ten steps, no wondering what goes first, no guilt about the shelf of things you skipped.
Simple isn't lazy. Simple is the thing you'll actually keep doing.
This week's fave
Speaking of keeping things simple, this is one of my all time favorite things: a little pomodoro style timer. You set it, you work (or tidy, or fold laundry, or answer those emails) until it dings, then you stop and take a break. That's it.
I use it for everything, and it's the reason "I'll get to it someday" turns into "done in 25 minutes." Here's the one I love.
